What's up crawler fans,

Are there any differences between the Temper and the Redcat E16 besides the wheels/tires and the body?

Thanks,
MP

@Mongol Pete I hadn't heard of the Redcat E16 before you mentioned it but after looking at their product page it sure does look to be the exact same truck. Nothing sticks out, other than what you already mentioned, from what I can tell.

Thanks WoodiE,
Turns out another difference is that the Temper has a 1/10-sized servo while the Everest 16 does not. That along with the customer service of Horizon would be enough for me to get the ECX, even considering the price difference.

HiMoto Racing is the OEM for the ECX Temper, RedCat Everest, and a couple other identical crawlers sold under different brand names in Europe.

They produce an amazing array of aluminum parts for the crawler and I WISH Horizon would carry a few! Although RedCat offers the aluminum differential/axle housing and it's US$100 (for one end)!! About ten times the cost of the stock plastic part. Jeesh.

My buddy picked up an everest 16 a month ago. They’re the same other than the everest comes with a mini servo mount. The stock servo was garbage it literally lasted 2 battery packs. I liked the fact that it came with an actual speed controller/receiver not the integrated stuff.
