I've broken several front driveshafts and front axles on my 1/10 4x4 Ruckus. Running stock motor with (non 3S restricted) Dynamite Tazer 45A ESC with 3S and stock tires. What brand driveshafts are you using? Which ones are the most durable?

For installation, please explain any mods that may have been needed to get the driveshafts to work properly.

Also, please list your battery, ESC, motor, tires and surface(s).

I’m a fan of the Hot Racing SECT288X06 axles. I’ve heard stories of guys breaking them but after seeing them I find it hard to believe. Not saying they’re indestructible but on a 2S 35C LiPo and a Castle SCT/3800kv combo they’re holding up just fine and I run on every surface imaginable. I’d say they’d be fine on a 3S as well as long as you stay of the grass. Too much traction and anything can break. Whichever axles you choose I’d recommend replacing trans/diff and spur gears to steel just to stick with the durability theme. Bomb-proof axles won’t do you any good if you’re blowing plastic idler gears in your tranny every time you try to put the power down. Remember - your weakest link should always be the easiest part to replace.

I agree, That is pretty much the number 1 rule of RC. And besides if some were to want more speed more power. Just get one of those crazy 1/8 scale buggies those things kind of scare me considering it’s basically a 10 pound land rocket that goes from 0 to 50+ in a second.**yes exaggeration**

Personally I couldn't tell you since I haven't broken my stock axles. I have run a 3930kv and 4370kv on both 2s 50c and 3s 40c packs with 15/54 gearing, and currently run a 5200kv on 2s 50c pack with 13/54 gearing.
