Ruckus 4wd upgrades

My front diff stripped, too. I'm wondering if the plastic gearbox is flexing, causing the gears to not mesh properly. Those metal gears seem so rugged, I just don't see how it's happening. Does anyone have any sources for a metal diff housing?front diff ring gear.jpg

Also, the gear ring is exposed to dirt and debris on the bottom of the chassis. This seems like a faulty design since a tiny rock could easily get caught into the gears, tearing it up. I'll willing to bet that this is exactly what's causing so many stripped gears. Has anyone figured out an effective way to seal the bottom of the gearbox to keep rocks from stripping the main gear ring?

I have the same problem since I but much more fat because I noticed that it did not stay on the crown especially in 3s and since the problem happens less quickly but you have to change the fat very regularly.
