    Torment Upgrade Build

Thanks for the link. I was actually looking at that servo, but wasn't sure if it would hold up. That might be the direction we go. This helps both of us since we are trying to one up each other while upgrading our trucks.

    Eco torment 2wd 1/10 upgrades

There's a lot of threads for upgrading the Torment. Last week I made a post with my son's build that he converted to brushless and did some suspension upgrades to improve handling. He just started the build but he is also looking for speed...

    Torment Upgrade Build

@zderekv That's the next part he wants to swap. If you know of a good budget metal gear servo I am open for suggestions since I'm not sure what I am looking at when I research servos. @Music411 You're absolutely right. I have him running at about 75% throttle. Might let him bump it up if we go...

    Brushless

My son and I are both running the 4000 KV version of the Kinexis motor in our Torments. I have been very happy with the performance from the motor and ESC. Plenty of power.

    Torment Upgrade Build

Thank you everyone. He's definitely proud of his truck. @WoodiE we'll see how the truck runs after the breakin of the motor @X hopefully he will stick with this for a while but soon the girls will be coming around so we'll see @Aunion I feel your pain, when my son isn't bashing or tinkering...

    Torment Upgrade Build

I'm going to brag on my son for a second. As I stated a few times, I got him a Torment for Christmas and he has really enjoyed the truck. He decided almost immediately that he wanted to upgrade his truck so he started saving his money and a few weeks ago finally had enough to do his first build...

Would you buy cheap and upgrade or buy expensive and not worry?

For me it's all about my budget, which is pretty small. Buying a car or truck at $200 is a huge purchase for me. When I bought my first truck back in August or September, it was really hard to justify spending more. Additionally, when purchasing something for my son, it's hard to buy something...

Shoulder screws coming out of the RPM caster block

I just had this problem over the weekend. Stopped by the hobby shop to and they suggested trying plumbers tape. I think I might try it and if that doesn't work I might go with the super glue option.

Looking for thicker body for ECX torment

The aero is good. He didn't want to cut all of the openings out, but it still levels out pretty good on jumps, which should be helpful while racing. I cant speak to racing durability since my son isn't ready for the track just yet.

Looking for thicker body for ECX torment

I got my son a Pro-Line EVO body (https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies/evo-sc-clear-body/) when I got his Torment for Christmas, here's a pic. He took it out for a couple of bashing sessions and now I have a lot of cracks to try and fix, so I'm not sure how it will handle racing, but it looks...

    Top Speed Check

That's pretty much the plan, thinking of switching to Hot Racing set up with Traxxas turnbuckles out front already have RPM a arms.

    Top Speed Check

I'll take a look at the GPS. I like that idea better than using a phone. I did get out this weekend and tried to get a speed run, but had a steering issue where the screws that hold the front hub on fell out. I think I got that fixed with some locktite. I think I'll take another crack at it next...
