Got 'Pulled Over' by a Cop on my first speed run

Look for some tires like they run on packed clay buggies. Also, ESC leads can be had fairly cheap to solder in for replacements. I’ve had my parking lot basher M.Rage up over 60mph before it died. Was running some foam tires like for carpet racing.

    1/24 Barrage Mods

I slowed mine down. I used a tranny from another micro crawler so that it could actually crawl and not bounce and rollover constantly.

Remove the cups and springs from the shocks then slide a piece of yellow heat shrink onto the body. It won’t cover the cap but the body will be yellow. It should be thin enough to not cause any spring binding, too.

OK. Good deal on the servo fix. I put an RPM saver delete in my Boost and it’s a lot quicker. Or at least seems that way. I may try to convert the Amps my kids have to brushless and run some 5000mAh packs I have and don’t use myself very often. They’d likely get tired of them before the packs...

    TEAM STAB RC Amp Build

My brushed HW1080 for my crawler has a setting that you can change the ESC’s servo voltage. Does this brushless have a similar setting? How long of a run time would you guess to have gotten from that 10,000mAh battery? The servo sticking left or right is likely ‘browning out’ from lack of...

Keeping the front wheels on the ground, weights?

I added stick on wheel weights for a car in my front end. I had the front disassembled to install an RPM saver delete and figured I’d stick some weights in there while I was at it. Then they’ll always be there and out of the as well as no worries about losing them. Having them inside the chassis...

    Ruckus Speed Run!

I would call that RC motorvated.

OK, gotcha. I have an RPM cover and never put it on but if I remember right it has a removable cover to adjust the slipper. Wouldn’t help for the motor shaft though. I’ll see if I can find it later. I also read somewhere yesterday that RPM makes a rear number that can cover the motor leads...

That’s the longer 550 motor? Do you have a pic of the rear end? I was thinking of putting one of those motors but wasn’t sure how far it would stick out.

It’ll be fine in ththe crawler mode. Let it rip.

    Axial Wraith Part Together....Build Thread

For about $60 get a HobbyWing 1080 ESC and a Traxxas 21t 550 can. You won’t regret it. More power, TQ, and speed as well many programmable options with the ESC. Up the servo voltage as well. Can’t go wrong if you stay brushed.

    Axial Wraith Part Together....Build Thread

For this one it has received a original body panels I painted camo. They don't look as good as I had hoped for though. The brushless motor is getting replaced with a 550 can I found on Banggood and HobbyWing 1080. So both the Wraiths will be brushed. I just find it too smooth to not do for the...

    TEAM STAB RC Amp Build

I’ve got a Traxxas XL5 in mine. Actually mine isn’t an ‘Amp’, it’s the Circuit. It has shorter arms and is narrower. But all else is the same. I do have 2 Amp MTs for my oldest kids. I went with some HobbyWing 1060’s in them which is basically what you’re using. I put them in the crawler mode...

I put some stick on auto tire weights in the front of mine when I had to open it back up after over tightening the RPM bell crank. It helps keep the wheelies down after using a better ESC and 2s.

Barrage 1/12 BTD or New 1/24?

But I’ll be getting that 1:24 when it hits the shelves of my LHS.

Barrage 1/12 BTD or New 1/24?

I use my 1:10 crawlers way more than my 1:24 ones. Our winters aren’t bad at all here though. Plus I has 3 daughters with long hair as well as my wife. Hair balls up bad on the wheels/axles.

    What did you buy today?

Ordered the needed parts to get my HobbyKing BSR M.Rage street car back running. Got a set of non ballooning foam tires, too. Hoping for a 50mph pass through a local parking lot. Lol. But the ship time is 15-39 days from Hong Kong. Also ordered a 4 link kit for a set of RC4WD axles I have. I'm...

    What did you buy today?

Picked up a brushless cordless drill today. Excited to see how it fares. No hammer option, but it had more torque and mAh than their equivalent with the hammer option.

    A Tale of Two Amps

We finally got to put these HW 1060s through the wringer yesterday. I had suspected that the original Rx/ESC combo was getting too hot and causing the RCs to slow down or stop. But with the new ESCs they still did it. The stock motors weren't terribly hot but no more than a 2 second touch was...
