My kids ruckus 2wd is eating Spur gears faster than I can order them. I checked tension on motor with paper but it is still tearing them up. What would be causing this?

Mines a 2wd and i find it hard to keep wheels on ground. It is a monster and I'm running a brushed with lipo that's all. Something sounds like its dragging. Sorry mine had issues turned out it all mine trying to make it better. Check slipper. Good luck.

I've got the ruckus 2wd. I have changed to the lipo with a new esc and it is pretty fun. I am working out some issues but overall pretty fun. My son has a grave digger and we just bash around and they hold up pretty well. Hope this helps.

Took it down to my lhs and he took it apart and was stumped. We starred at it with just no answers, then a light. There had been a spacer between the bearing and the spur gear plate. Well that was gone. Man was i relieved to find it out. Just put it back together and will give it a good running...

Is the esc set up for the lipo. I switched and needed new esc. Now my run time absolutely amazes me and as far as power , way more.

How do you know what the esc is rated for i got it used. All my problems have started since the new esc. It came out if a traxxas. The new motor is a traxxas 12t 550. But all guts of tranny are esx.

What do you mean the front won't pull? I'm fairly new and if i can help I'd like to but I'm not sure what you mean.

Also check the tension of your slipper clutch. That can make a grinding sound.

I just got the gears installed and it was working great then the motor started smoking. One day all the things will work together and it will be a good time.

As far as the slipper clutch goes how do you know how tight is tight? I have replaced the spur and moved the pads from the old to the new. I have taken the spur off several times due to doing the gears. I just tighten it till its tight. Not real sure if there's a right way or not.

I have a stock ecx ruckus 2wd. Except metal gears in transmission. What is a good lipo battery? I have a 5000 and a 5400 but i think they are the reason i had to put the metal gears in. What would be a good size?

I am trying to get some of the slop out of the steeri g. It is very poorly geared. It makes real wide turns. Just trying to tighten it up some. My sons traxxas grave digger is so tight its almost hard to not flip it over. Somewhere in between would be great.
