    Stand alone receive options?

Sadly, no! I was hoping that was the case, but after emailing horizon hobby about it they said no. The v2 radio that comes with the temper, and a few other vehicles, is only compatible with the all in one esc/receivers. So no go on just buying the ecx receiver that comes in the barrage and using...

    Stand alone receive options?

I always heard the ecx rx/tx were spektrum based but if they are futaba, even better. Can anyone be a for sure on which? Or neither?

    Stand alone receive options?

So you're running a spektrum receiver and the stock ecx barrage radio? I know the temper radio is a v2 and the barrage is a v3 so I wonder if it will work with a spektrum receiver.

    Stand alone receive options?

I was wondering what receivers will work with the stock radio other than the all in one that comes standard and the v3 that comes on the barrage. Will a spektrum work? Or any other brands?

    Bad servo? Or power issue?

Those are the hot racing shocks for the temper. They work every wel but i ahd to use both springs in them to get the performance i was looking for.

Anyone tried Losi MRC or Vaterra Slickrock parts in their Temper?

Im running slickrock outdrives, because of length issues on the stock ones. I wanted to run vanquish hex nuts on my vanquish method wheels, but those nuts are a bit wider than then most hexs. The vaterra ones work but the shear pins are smaller, so instead of running vetarra pins i drilled them...

    Bad servo? Or power issue?

So the replacement esc/receiver came in, this one has a brake set between forward and reverse. Not sure if I like it yet. I decided to test it with the stock servo first and see if the new esc got rid of the problem....Nope. I ended up going with the Hitec 5645mg servo over the savox, because of...

    Axle Lockouts?

Well dang it looks like those wouldn't work... My bad. Ive been doing a lot of research on the Barrage for a friend and a lot of people said they were the same, well other than that extension. BUT on a plus side if that actually does beef them up a bit it may be worth upgrading to the barrage...

    Axle Lockouts?

Im sure some of you are aware, but the ecx Barrage uses a very simular axle and they offer grey lockouts for them.

    Axle Lockouts?

These sound perfect for that and you should be fine with the firm springs.

    Axle Lockouts?

They do look really nice, but they do need some slight tweaking for the tempers torque. They come with two sets of springs, medium and hard, neither are enough to handle the torque at the stock angle. The solution I did was to use both springs and add some diff grease to keep things moving smoothly.

    Axle Lockouts?

I just got mine in this week as well as the Hot Racing shocks. Can't wait to put them to work. They really stiffen up the rear and look 100 times better!

    Bad servo? Or power issue?

You understand that correct and agree on the weird factor. My friend and i both have tempers so we did some voltage checking on the esc/receiver and strangly end up loosing the servo usage all together. I ordered up a Stock replacement and I'm debating on getting the Hi-tec HS-5645MG or the...

    ecx ruckus or temper

I used two smaller zip ties stacked to hold the spring collar down instead of wedging it. I did all four shocks and the torque was greatly reduced

    Bad servo? Or power issue?

Ill start off by saying I'm newly back in the hobby and this is my first crawler, so if this is a normal thing please dont beat me over it, lol. This brings me to my issue. I'm having problems with the steering on my temper. I didn't really notice the issue till recently. I am running 1.9...

Its slightly under double the power. I was very worried at first to over power this truck. I do love going fast but not a this style of crawler. I still get great battery life from the stock 900mah battery and not so much power that i worry about killing the stock parts right off the rip. The...

14mm or 19mm spacers, wheels, tires and spinning the top chassis plate that holds the battery and esc, so the battery is in the front are the easy first mods. From there. depending on how you want to go with your temper, i would say motor (recommend the Tazor 280) and shocks would be the next...
