The mechanics on this one have me perplexed.

Eliminate slop in the rear wheels, aluminum hubs?

I know, what is Losi doing using the same stuff in theire 400 bucks trucks. I don't expect adjustable links on a 140 bucks kit, but at three times that, what the hell

Eliminate slop in the rear wheels, aluminum hubs?

A more thorough investigation revealed that the solid plastic links are also to blame. They flex and the balljoints are super loose. I suppose that's easy to change, anything the right length?

ecx 2wd metal gear trans-outdrive shaft? loose

Is this for real? What's a silicone earplug? Like, same material as nitro fuel lines silicone, or something else?

Eliminate slop in the rear wheels, aluminum hubs?

I'm running a rather powerful brushless motor and there seems to be more and more slop in the rear wheels (it looks lie it is at the hub level, not the arms). Bearings are holding up fine (Fast Eddy). Would aluminum hubs help with this? And if so, Hot Racing on ECX? Could the (stock) hexes also...

    my ruckus... so far

Yeah, you need better driveshafts with brushless. There's thread out there, it's either a Traxxas (or Traxxas compatible one, do't remember with some mods, or the top of the line Hot Racing afaik.

    1/10 Ruckus 2WD Driveshafts

I've yet to break (on 2S) the Hot Racing sect288RC but they are pricey. I broke all their other models lol.

Amp MT kit, or Ruckus ?

I have both. Vastly different cars. Low / high center of gravity, long / short wheelbase, small / large tires... Both can be upgraded (most parts are the same). Where do you intend to run it?

Alternatives to ECX part 13003 receiver

I can vouch for the tactic, it's the stock radio on Arrma's 1/8 cars and it's great. Compact, basic but enough settings, very low power consumption, I really like it.

My Amp with Baja Bug body

I know bodies are a hot topic as the stock one isn't very strong and the size / shape of the car make it hard to find compatible ons. Here's the body of the FTX Bugsta (17.90€). Some small hobbyking body posts extensions in the rear and 4 holes later it's looking good! Amp baja bug body from...

    ECX Ruckus 2wd steering dilemna...

Digital, that's it actually. And with a low enough power draw (or enough power supply) thay your ESC can follow, plus fast enough. https://www.futabarc.com/servos/digitalservos.pdf

Is your Savox compatible with AVC? Not all servos are.

    My Amp upgrades

Took me a while to realize not all Allen keys are hexagonal all over, some have a round body. I was soooo confused for a while.

    My Amp upgrades

I got a Spektrum DX5C + SRS6000 combo on my Amp, and the stock one from the 2WD brushless Ruckus. Both work nicely. AVC steers the front wheels in the opposite direction of drifting and lowers and restarts the throttle nearly instantaneously to keep you going where you want to go. If you have...

    My Amp upgrades

I've never had a problem with the shoulder screws on my two ECX cars. I bought extras based on what I read here and have yet to lose one. Weird. The gyro is a must on some terrains and completely superfluous on others, it depends. On the local BMX track it's fantastic though. Tires: do they...

Get a RX/TX with a gyro, like Traxxas TSM or Spektrum's AVC, bearings and driveshafts.

Considering Arrma's competing models are 219, this is nothing special.

ECX Ruckus and Torment 4x4's coming

New tires, new motor, new bodies, nothing else I can find digging through the parts list. Not impressed.
