For my 2wd Torment, I switched to Traxxas serrated flanged nuts. They stay where you put them. :)

On my 1/16 cars, I've had luck using superglue to glue hexes to rounded wheels. You will need extra plastic hexes, and extra cross pins (you will lose pins with glued hexes), but they are cheap. Also, go ahead and buy the aluminum hexes to save the rest of your wheels.

Yeah, I think I understand what he is saying, but over-speeding the motor due to under gearing will normally heat the ESC before the motor - as the motor speed goes up, the ESC must switch faster, so more heat. On the motor side, you can only get to very high RPM if the load is light. Light...

Bigger pinions need more torque to turn them. More torque needs more amps to feed it. More Amps = more heat. So bigger pinion = more heat, not less. Maybe JP1ruckus meant that you should go bigger on the SPUR. Adding teeth to the spur will gear the car down, which takes load off the motor...

You can set how the throttle 'ramps', but for features like torque limiting, and punch, those are ESC setting.

hope you like it as much as I do. My #1 tip for this radio - first thing when you set up a new Model Memory slot - go to Option #20 and set the Fail Safe to 0-0-0-0. The default is a "Flyer" style full throttle, full rudder, which is a bit dangerous for a car... Ping me when you get the radio...

If that was the shoulder screw that goes thru the C-hub into the axle carrier - the threads on the axle carrier strip out very easy. Once stripped, the shoulder screws pop out very easy. I switched to the ECX aluminum hub carrier, then lock-tite'ed the screws, and have had no issues since.

Oh, and I forgot to add - there is a built in gyro in the RX (can be turned off for racing). Great feature for bashing with 2wd cars. The ch3 knob on the Tx can control the gain on the gyro for on-the-fly adjustment.
