I just purchased some Pro-Line Badlands 3.8" model 1178-11. I'm going to use 12mm to 17mm adapters. Regarding your reference about more rubber having more stress on the drivetrain, what pinion gear do you recommend with these wheels/tires to minimize drivetrain breakage?

I drilled out the 5mm holed wheel hexes, but the new hole was a little off center, so I think that was a bad idea. I found these Tekno (TKR1654X ) 12mm hexes with a 6mm hole for $17.99 at www.amainhobbies.com. Hot Racing has them too at the same price.

Be careful with this measurement, because ECX uses a stepped drive axle. You are correct that the inside diameter of the bearing is 6mm, but the inside diameter of the wheel hexes is 5mm. That's because of the step that I mentioned. So, if you're using stock axles, you'll want a wheel hex...

Notice part number 56 "Brushed Motor" and "57 Brushed ESC" That manual is the brushed 4WD version. The brushless 4WD version is model ECX03016. Does anyone have a link to that manual?

I have the 1/10 4x4 brushless Ruckus on 3S and it does tear up hexes and wheels. The first thing I did was get aluminum hexes and that has really helped. Also, you could get some 12mm to 17mm adapters and then you'll have many more choices for stronger wheels.

I have the 4wd brushless Ruckus model ECX03016 and parts are very hard to find because there is no parts list published anywhere. It's as if Horizon is treated this model like a red-headed stepchild. I just now noticed that his model is discontinued.
