circuit wheels and tires

after a lot of debate (within my own head) I finally settled on tires for my circuit. I didn't like many that I saw in my research and it finally hit me....what about traxxas rustler tires? I have yet to see anyone mention it. I got them today and they are fantastic!
I ended up going with the talons because my track is quite loose but I am sure any of the rustler tires will look as good. let me know what you all think!
BTW: tazer twin motor/esc, slash camber and toe links and rpm bell crank. Looking forward to competing with the circuit to see how she does!

It's not a club track per se but it's not on my property. It's at a group home I work at. I built it for clients, coworkers, and myself to race on.

No Ibought the truck 2nd hand and haven't touched the body. Is it different than stock? lol I've never paid attention

looking at Google images it looks the front on mine are cut out more. the back look stock. good eye!
p.s. I lied, I did "touch" the body... with drywall mesh and shoe goo

Idk how your track is but the track I run on I found that ribs on the front and a pin style dirt tire worked the best.

It's really loose dirt. I thought about trying the pins/ribs but I didn't think I'd get good enough traction.

My track is loose dirt on top of hard pack clay, I also have had good luck with a set of Duratrax Lockups, but I think the super soft rubber compound plays a role in that. I have heard good things about those tires though. Worst you can do is try them out right?

yes sir. I've heard good things about the lockups as well.
I ran these tires before all this snow flew where I am and they had great bite and were comparable to my trenchers. I am very happy. It made it worth it to me to finally upgrade the bell crank.. can't wait until things clear up a bit and I can test it all out. should feel like a different car!

I ran these tires before all this snow flew where I am and they had great bite and were comparable to my trenchers. I am very happy. It made it worth it to me to finally upgrade the bell crank.. can't wait until things clear up a bit and I can test it all out. should feel like a different car!

I hated the Trenchers at my track it was like driving on ice.

me too, but I was on gravel and grass. they felt worse than the rock hard stock tires

I found the Trenchers work best on gravel and grass.
