Ecx amp MT receiver help????

My son has a ecx amp truck with the esc and receiver all in one. They say you can buy the ecx 13003 receiver and use the same remote. The ecx 13003 is on back order everywhere does any one know another way to use the same remote and just buy the receiver to up grade the esc?

@Sadowsky66 are you not interested in changing the transmitter at all? There are a lot of nice radios that can be had for pretty cheap.

I was trying not to but it looks like I am going to have to. I found a spectrum spmstx200 2 channel 2.4 ghz and a Sri 200 receiver for 39.99 is that one any good

you can google the ECX RX. I would just buy the Flysky GT3B or The GT3C(rechargeable) for around the same price. You will be able to use this on multiple cars with different Receivers that cost about $5. If that TX is too advance you can find a Traxxas TQ RX/TX combo's on sale for under $30(only buy new or read the description- people buy the vehicle and immediately change out everything for upgrades/ resell to recoup money). The Spectrum is ok and if you really want a Spectrum, spend more or search the web and get a better model than the base. This will allow you to grow into the hobby.
