ECX esc failure AMP Crush

Hi, noob here; I have a new Amp Crush, ran it twice and then issues. On start up the motor turns 3 times with the beeps, every time. No servo action throttle starts up then fails. Batteries in the car and transmitter all fine. I'm guessing the esc is fried?

As well as this the gearbox trashed on the second run, I've replaced it with the metal one.

Hi Noop, i have that same truck and the first thing i did was dump stock motor and esc. The Crush is an entry level truck, but when upgraded, look out. If you dont want to upgrade i suggest you get a hold of Horizon for a new esc as that seems to be the problem. Before you blame the esc, unplug the motor wires and connect directly to the battery and see if the motor will continues to run. If it does, the motor is fine. Next plug the motor back in and turn everything off. Turn the front tiers in by hand, then turn the radio on and then turn the esc on. If the tires don't return to straight then its definitely esc. They don't put the best in entry level vehicles. There are some reasonable brushless combos out there, but its hit and miss when it comes to quality. My son has one ($49) in his 4x4 truck and its held up fine so far. Depends how much money you want to spend. Below is my Crush and my Amp, both upgreaded.
