Ecx torment 2wd 1/10

I Have an ECX torment 1/10 scale 2wd but im buying a sidewinder 3 for it but i want to change the gearing i want a 20 tooth pinion gear but i need help with the spur gear i want more speed but i still want it torquey the torment has a 85 tooth spur gear stock can someone help me??????

All ecx 2wd have a 87 tooth spur gear. 20 tooth pinion gear will still be fairly torquey, how many kv does your motor have?

20t should be fine, should be you to around 40 mph. I would keep an eye on motor and esc temps and if it is running relatively cool, you could even bump the tooth count up

That's a very high kv for a torment. I think you will have nothing but heat issues even running stock gearing.
