HI guys.....so I've had my 2wd Ruckus for 4 months now and I'm getting right into it. I fitted a cheap GOOLRC 60a 2s/3s lipo esc and a 4300kv motor. Great fun but she's too fast! I have smaller pinions on the way and some 2s lipos. So as my understanding of this side of things is very limited, would my 60a 2s/3s lipo esc (which has only been run on 8.4v nimh to date) run this 1/8 4s rated motor with half the kv rating? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/trackstar-1-8th-2050kv-brushless-sensorless-motor.html

As ever I'm forever in your debt guys......thankyou in advance!

That motor is way too big it will add too much rear weight and too much torque and wreck drive shafts and possibly your diff not to mention probably not fitting in the motor mount. All you need to do is get another 3650 motor somewhere between 2300kv to 3100kv from wherever you want. Gear up if it's too slow.

Just because you can fit it, does not mean you should run it. More problems, more money!
Brushed or brushless

13.5T (3500kv) 2 pole motor is a nice Ruckus, Torment stock size.

17.5T (2500kv) is a nice buggy all around size.

Is your esc programmable? I programmed mine to half power so that the kids can drive it without doing as much damage on impact.
