Led light waterproofing?

I recently bought $7 led lights for my amp and a $10 Dr.Mad thrust receiver switch which lets me control my led lights from my transmitter, but I wanna know how I could make the lights and switch waterproof, unless they already are waterproof?

@BriaN you could use Corrosion-X which does a great job at making electronics water resistant.

There are a couple other ways to possible make them water resistant in this thread as well.

Would conformal coating work on any electronics? Like the receiver mad thrust switch? (Second link)?

Yes. But since that has shrink wrap around it, you'd have to cut it off, coat it, and re wrap it. Or, what you should do, is get something like liquid electrical tape, or lexal silicone, or something similar and fill the ends of the shrink wrap

Do you think I could cut it, then put conformal coating on it, and then rewear it back on just using electrical tape.

Yeah, even tape the old shrink wrap back on, it'll act as a cushion

What do you think I could do for the first link led lights?

I've never owned lights, but in the reviews and in the questions on amazon there, it seems these may already be water proof. Could add silicone from the backside to keep water from getting in.
