Been looking at getting into this hobby for some time and while doing some searching in my area I managed to find an ECX Revenge Type E for sale on my area for pennies.

Arrived and actually runs. Going to be a long project of mine as I’m going to hopefully upgrade and replace all the parts on this. Will be tricky I think too as a lot of parts I can’t seem to find anywhere online.

let’s see where this takes me! ?

Welcome!

Looks like a brushless motor and ESC - what are you looking for in terms upgrades and parts? If you check the ESC it should tell you what voltage or how many S lipo it can handle.

probably scrapping this motor and ESC.. was looking at what’s compatible with the chassis etc. But it looks like whatever I’m going to put in I might have to make a few tweaks.

what I’ve put together to buy so far is:

For Suspension etc. I’ll be buying RC10B4 and B4.2 parts. But haven’t decided on an esc or motor yet..

It already has a brushless motor and ESC so why replace it? Get the stats on them first.

so it looks like thiscar contains:

The Toro SC120 brushless ESC
Brushless Inrunner Motor 3660 2600KV

map it can handle between 2-4s LiPos. Think that should actually be alright for me for now to get used to driving.
Looking for a very similar vehicle to replace Pretty much all the suspension and steering on it. The servo seems to be working okay so I’ll keep that too.

Lol. 3S will be plenty of power to start. On 4S it will be stupid fast and you’ll break stuff if you aren’t careful. Scratch that, you will break stuff!

Haha! Sweet! Car has been stripped.. just trouble finding any replacement for the suspension and steering parts.

Gonna get an ECX Revenge revival continued for the 2025 season here in NH this Summer. We will see how many laps down from new tech I can finish locally.

The Dura Lube Revenge almost ready for battle at Hobby Etc. Manchester NH. Gonna be an awesome season. They brought in a screen to get rid of rocks, and it should be perfect. Check us out on Live RC.

Ended up adding updated CBD shafts/axles on all 4 corners. Great addition with the timely blowout sale at Horizon on many ECX items. Next I need to shorten a couple wires and try some different shocks, then beef up the wing struts like Cruz mentioned.
