Well first time poster here I've been lurking the past month lol but I just recently bought the amp mt at my lhs and after about a week I was bored with the lack of power stock. After doing some research I was going to go with the dynamite tazer twin 2 in 1 but they didn't have it so I ended up picking out another combo I had to upgrade to an ecx 4 channel receiver so I would be able to stick with the stock remote control and have an extra 2 channels for the esc fan and then one for a light bar as my next upgrade I also bought a venom 2s lipo battery. I took it out for a few runs on the new setup and noticed quite the difference its a lot faster and does wheelies like no other so I'm going to have to fab up a wheelie bar somehow. I plan to upgrade the gears to metal and get the improved shocks soon. along with an led bar so I can see it at night. I've attached some photos of how I installed everything it was very straight forward and easy to do. I have about $200 into the upgrade parts and battery.20181209_215415.jpg20181209_215435.jpg20181209_215451.jpg20181209_215707.jpg20181209_215836.jpg

That is a lovley esc. Supposed to be the smoothest non sensored esc made. Totally jealous.
The stock shocks are pretty good. Try different oil weight before changing them out.
Next step after (or maybe even before) the tranny gears would be metal driveshafts. Stock plastic ones don't last too long on brushless power.

I heard about changing the oil in the shocks I may try that first its 28 for 2 shocks so any savings would be great. especially after this evening it was dark and Icy and I slid into a pole in the parking lot it completely broke the chassis clean in two just after the transmission housing so ill be swapping chassis as soon as I find one and get it ordered it also broke the mount for the a arm shaft so I need to look up the part numbers for those as well :poop:
otherwise the short time I had it running it was very smooth and very fast on stock internals it was definitely worth the investment

Welcome to the hobby brother! I have 5 bashers and right now two of them are running. If you don’t break something, you weren’t pushing it hard enough.

True that man i love it the hobby shop is right down the street so ot makes getting parts easy. I got my chassis swapped over so i need to fab a wheelie bar and get some better tires. I also need to upgrade a few parts to aluminum so they hold up to the power

Wow Ham, I have the AMP also and run mine with a 3S Gen Ace 7000mAh battery and it's been clocked on a straight away at 70 plus and have had some major bashings but have never snapped my chassis like that. That's a new one for me. My AMP is totally upgraded and is worth probably around 400 plus dollars now. It is one of my favorite vehicles.

I love the upgrades man I plan to start getting the drive shafts and front suspension parts in aluminum. I keep breaking the front hinge pin holder though so I need to get a basher bumper like yours and a wheelie bar asap. My lhs had the chassis for $13 so I was able to swap it over easily. I just picked up some duratrax pistol st tires and haven't really got to test them out yet. I definetly could use the servo saver part i hate the wobble in reverse especially if im trying to get out of a cars way lol

One is the main power switch and the other is for the two upgraded cooling fans. I don't care for the stock slider switch that comes with the Castle motores so i upgrade them with micro toggle switches. The fabs run on thier on separate drone battery.

If you find the front A arm hinge pin holder in aluminium let me know. I've broken mine a couple times, currently trying to make a steel retainer to connect the pins together behind the a arms. Chassis is in the way for a straight piece, so I gotta get creative. I've got some tent posts that work perfect in place of the stock pins(will need to be longer for my brace idea). But finding that piece in aluminium will be much easier.

That's odd. Didn't get a notification when hamby92 sent pic, but I did when toywheeler responded.
Anyways that is for the ruckus, not the amp. The ruckus and torment have a higher chassis and a different suspension mount. I have the stock plastic piece for the ruckus, and didn't see an easy way to make it fit. The issue is the top brace that covers the servo savor won't mount to it, and the mounting holes in the chassis are different. Probably could find a way to make it work. If anyone does make it work, let us know.

Isn’t that for the ruckus? If it works on my amp I’ll be ordering one but don’t want to waste the $$.

Yeah I looked up the wrong part inwas thinking it was the other ecx amp buggy that has the same chassis as the amp mt I did see these in another post and I think they would work but can't tell for sure if the hinge pin holder is aluminum

I also found this with some digging it looks identical to the part I keep breaking. For the cost I might gamble and see if it fits

I highly recommend getting the metal gears. My son stripped out his plastic gear set after just a few times out, and that was on a completely stock setup.

I also have the exact same receiver you do, but with a Quicrun ESC. Got lucky and found the receiver eBay for a decent price so I could keep the stock remote. The upgraded ESC definitely pushes the juice harder than the stock one did. We both noticed an increase in speed, but decrease in battery life. He was getting 30+ minutes on the larger 5200 mAh MH battery and it went down to like 10-15 minutes. We had to turn down the max throttle down a bit to get it close to stock and keep the drive time up.

Is the jumper on the esc set to nimh or lipo?
