I'm just looking for a 2S LiPo that is known to fit in the Temper Gen 2. Dimensions or links to specific batteries would be insanely helpful as we're getting my wife's new crawler fully setup (new RX, ESC, and servo are incoming).

Take a look at the Venom Fly 30C 2S 1300mAh, that would fit nicely in your ECX Temper Gen 2 crawler.

Get a Hobbywing Quicrun 1080 for the speed controller. Fantastic esc with 15 (I think) adjustable parameters. I have 3 of them, best brushed crawler esc IMO and a bargain at $40.

I run the venom fly 1300 2s with the castle mamba micro x esc & a brushless team brood noisy cricket.
