My Son has an stock ECX AMP that he loved but has shelved for a while as the steering servo burnt out.

I'd love to get it fixed up for him, and also give it a little upgrade for Xmas (I've heard a lipo upgrade is a good first step).

I've been looking around for parts, and tbh, I have been getting a bit confused as to which parts are compatible and any good (and if there are bits I might also need, servo savers, lipo charge bags, etc).

Does anyone have a list of parts that they'd recommend? I am UK based if that makes any difference.

with little exceptions, all ecx 1/10 2wd parts are interchangeable so you can just search that (amazon, ebay, etc). hot-racing isn't a company I really love, but they will at least get you started with what you're looking for (I gave this link assuming you have the 1/10 2wd amp monster truck not the buggy)

a lipo I would stick with a 2S assuming you are on stock electronics. Make sure you get a charger, and do yourself the favor of ordering one with the correct plug for the electronics you're using so you don't have to solder on a different one or run an adapter - cost difference to get the correct one on the battery in the first place is small.

ECT4806 is the part number for their bellcrank/steering saver.

RPM 73492 is a plastic composite version. Other people have had great success, I don't prefer I think it flexes too much.

for the burnt out steering servo, just amazon one between 20-30kg depending on how fast you want the steering. they're good bang/buck and reliable. I would start closer to the 20kg end. they also come with an aluminum horn which is a nice upgrade paired with the bellcrank.

As far as other upgrades, I'd do those two and see if he actually uses it. tires, metal trans gears and spur, brushless motor and esc would be good next choices. the stock suspension is largely sufficient and can be dialed by swapping out fluid weights.
