how similar are the two motors? pretty close?

looking to eventually swap out stock brushless 3300kv and curious how close a 6 pole 3800kv is...
so i know if i will need to worry about new pinion gear

Typically, more Pole count provides greater torque/less rpm for a brushless.
*You should already know how motor KV rating work...(just in case...Lower KV rating means higher torque/less rpm...Higher KV means lower torque/higher rpm)
-with the information you provided, it is likely that you will end up going UP on teeth for the pinion gear to best use the power of the new motor. Regardless, always tune for motor temperature. you should spend $10 for pinions of different sizes.
-Dynamite offers two different packages with a range of pinions...(17t-21t, and 22t-26t)

Don’t use a 6 pole on a 4 pole esc. I don’t know what happens but I know it’s probably not good.

thanks guys
basically verified what i thought i knew of poles and kv
never thought about the esc issue though
i wanted to upgrade to a 70 amp esc anyway

just looking at latest 2wd ruckus
comes with same 45A esc, but now a 6 pole 3300kv
