Hi, I have an ecx amp mt and I’m looking for any recommended upgrades. I have a 3000kv brushless motor and esc combo otw. A Spektrum receiver and transmitter to go in. I have upgraded to a metal gear servo and added the aluminum servo saver and added aluminum shocks. I’m running 2S 5200mAh lipos. Added the wrangler body and engineered some ‘pen cap’ extensions to make it fit(pic for attention). Light kit will be put in when my buckets get 3D printed. Let me know your thoughts and input. I don’t do any hardcore racing or anything, just fun ripping around out back. About 2 months into the hobby and I’m starting to get hooked. Thank you!!

Bret , this what i did to my Amp. I must say that the upgrades you can do to the Amp are endless, when you put your mind to it. we do a lot of street racing and night running. I did these same upgrades to my ECX Axe and my two Amp Crush's. Top speeds on all are around 55 to 60 mph. Had to gear down on the Amp as it was just to fast.

Those are Proline Thrashers 1170-10. They come with wheel extenders, 25mm or the stock mount. You can find these tires on eBay for a decent price. I got two sets (4) for $75 the first time I bought them. The last two times they were like $35 a set, basically the same price for two sets. They are great tires and made in the USA by ProLine.

Here are my updates so far. Ended up throwing on the traxxas wheelie bar. Fasteddys bears are coming next. Any other upgrades I should go for in the steering rod/axel area? Lol sorry my terms aren’t the greatest but I’m looking for any opinions!

Bret, here is my Amp Axe, I just made and attached a better bumper. I tried it tonight and purposely ran it into the curb. It bounced back 3 feet with know damage.

Holy crap!! That’s beautiful!! How did you mount or convert the plastic ball links to those metal knuckel style?!?

Changed all the suspension, front steering knuckels, rear knuckels, suspension arms, shocks cv rear drive axles to Hot Racing, Traxxas turnbuckels and Proline shocks.

Hey guys new to the forum and haven't purchased the Amp MT yet but will be very soon as a Christmas gift for my son. I want to get LiPo batteries right off the bat and wanted to know what would work best and a decent charger to get going. What are yalls suggestions?

First off, what is your budget?
We can offer suggestions all day long but at the end of the day, the budget normally doesn't move much.

This is what I am running, doesn't mean it is the best setup, but I also dont race either.
These are budget friendly.
I have two of the chargers, one I got with a Torment purchase I made. Then purchased a second one. $40ish dollars each.
The packs are Zeee 5200mAh 80C 3S 11.1V hardcase with Deans connectors. $55ish dollars for two.
