I have a torment and it loses power really fast and I'm thinking it's the esc

I have charged the 3300 battery and drained it dose the same thing but I put the 3000 in it it dose the same thing

If you have a dvom test the output from the esc to the motor check positive and negative when the problem make sure the wheels are off the ground and one more thing see if the motor is hot at that time

Is the esc in lipo mode? It would trigger the safety possibly. If it has a lipo mode at least, I don't know.

Make sure you have the proper charger for your battery. In the case of lipos you would need that specific charger their easy to find. If in is NiMH battery you need a peak detection charger which in most good Lipo chargers they have the ability to change the charge chemistry. If you have brushless it’s probably a good idea to start thinking about lipos they are a lot more fun.
