Broken something, help figuring out what

Hi guys, was hoping someone here could help me out, upgraded my ecx ruckus 2wd today to a castle sct brushless motor. Everything installed fine took out for test run and within minutes what looks like the rear axel that turns the wheel has come off and has been lost. Been looking online at replacement parts but don't see anything that matches, I've attached pictures and hope someone can point me in the right direction. And whether I can get a more robust replacement so this doesn't happen again.

As an after thought, the side where this part has come off from is the same side I had to take the wheel off to install the motor, was only a single nut holding the wheel and everything went back how it was originally but maybe I tightened the nut too hard?

Thanks in advanced for any and all help

Here is the stock driveshaft http://www.ecxrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ECX232000
Looks like you can get the plastic part that you lost by itself http://www.ecxrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ECX232002

But since you upgraded the motor, might want to look into metal driveshafts or this will probably continue to happen. Something like these http://www.hot-racing.com/index.cgi?partnumber=SECT288X06;c=685

Thanks for the quick reply. Seems no one in the UK stock those, I can get them shipped in but with a 2-3 week delivery estimate. Don't spose you know of any other metal drive shafts that would fit the ruckus?

I don't have that ruckus so don't take my word for it but I have heard good things about mips on traxxas forums and a quick search looks like they may have some that work for the ruckus. http://www.miponline.com/store/mip08106.html

Read the second post here http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1736514

Thanks for taking the time to look, was looking for other brands that might fit, that looks promising I'll research further. Thanks again :)
