Crusty my modded Gen1 converted to Gen2

I recently bought a very used, very beat up Gen1 Barrage. The front and rear axles plus the transmission were all destroyed by the previous owner who said it ran great for him. At this point I should have cut my losses and placed the thing in the dumpster. A late night in the shop, maybe to much whiskey, I bought all the parts I needed to make this thing work again. I went with the Gen2 axles so I could outboard the shocks. I also added the esc from my Temper Gen2. I have an upgraded 390 motor but not installed. The shocks, frankly suck. I rebuilt them... they still suck. I re-spring them with some Hot Racing springs off of a LaTrax Teton kit and they worked’ish. Now using Mini-T prints from Losi. Truck now flexes and articulates as it should.

The body was a left over bash body from a Stampede I have. I decided to try weathering then rusting techniques and this is how it turned out.

It’s still a work in progress but it is a million times better than it was and it actually works
