ECX AMP Receiver / transmitter issues

Hi Guys- I'm trying to get my sons ECX Amp going again. He lost the transmitter so I purchased a replacement ECX10003 which the shop told me would work. The AMP has a ECX13006 receiver. We cannot get them to bind. Went through all of the steps but not working.
Will the ECX10003 work with the ECX13006 receiver? There was a horizon addendum stating that the transmitter and receivers have been changed but I'm not sure. Thanks

you need the ECX 13010 reciever for the ECX 10003 radio.

I went with a DumboRC X6A transmitter/receiver and it’s great, but that requires a new speed controller as well. I took the opportunity to move to brushless.
