Here is a pretty easy way to give your ECX Barrage 1/24 some SERIOUS torque! You will need two things! 40 dollar investment for a whole new level of torque!
You will need...
The RC4WD R5 1/18th transmission (it comes with a motor).

And the mounts for the transmission to the frame.

The only thing you will need to do is drill the drive shaft mounting holes circular. The hole in the drive shafts comes in the shape of a D. I simply stuck a drill bit in the hole and made the circle round. See the video below for more detail.
Heres a video (not mine) of it done to a clone of the ECX barrage. 1/2 way through he will show how it drives. He also shows the drive shaft D shape he drills out.
Instead of plowing or powering over things. NOW it will crawl over EVERYTHING!
This is COMPLETELY worth the 40 bucks spent.
