Is this part just a replacement or does it offer any performance increase? I picked up an extra ec3 cable with an adapter for my skyrc s65 and a ecx1028 in case i wanted better steering...or so I thought. Then I started seeing other servo savers that appeared to upgrades that were more robust. I don't mind keeping this part in case the one I have breaks but wasn't sure if it was like an OEM part for your car.

That's what I was thinking right after I saw the upgraded aluminum parts. Ok I'll just grab some tomorrow. Should make for a nice little install. Should i replace the servo with it or will it provide enough power?

in my opinion the stock servo has enough power, makes a crap load of noise, but a better servo is always a good choice

Your best fix is a zip tie around the servo saver if you want more precise and steering. Be aware that you trade off durability for more precision. That sloppy servo saver and rack saves you from breaking things.
