Hi, I am a newbie to this world. I recently upgraded my ruckus to a 21T helion brushed motor because the old motor was burning out with my 2s lipo. I just went with the only pinion gear i had (stock) and was wondering if i should change it out? My main concern here is to keep my motor cool so that i dont burn it out. Any advice would be appreciated.

Surely a motor called Helion should be able to take some heat? :p

I don't have much specific advice for you, but you should buy an infrared thermometer so you can measure how hot it really is running. I think that motor should be fine with the stock gearing but it depends on the surfaces you run on; the stock motor should have been fine as well...

Thanks for the advice xlDooM. The stock motor was to small and i was driving it in grass quite a bit which is my fault. Hopefully the new motor will do better. I made a mistake in the title and called it a 250. It is a 550.
* Does anyone know of a motor cooler i could use for this truck?

Thanks! I will have to check out the blower. I think i could still use one.
