Metal gear box?!

So after I tried putting a 2S lipo into my amp crush, the plastic gears are destroyed


picked up a set of metal gears for LHS, and saw this.....SCX10 Metal Gear Box with metal gears for $27, which same price as the ecx metal gears alone, can anyone verify this? Is it compatible?

I doubt the bolt patterns would line up. The part that is the biggest concern is that it doesn’t have a differential which would make the car not handle as well. Locked diffs are really only used for drag racing, drift cars, and sometimes speed runners but not all the time.

I think integy makes a gear case. Then buy the ecx metal gear kit.

I’ve been running 2S LIPO with no problem save one spur gear. You must have your slipper too tight to do that damage. I backed mine off until it slipped and then tightened it up a bit, but you want it to slip before that happens. I’m running a Gens Ace 5,000 mAh 50c 2S in it almost every day bashing with no problems So far.

The bolt pattern is the same, same gear ratio, just missing the top mounting screws and as previously mentioned there would be no differential with that.
