Replace receiver on ecx10003

I just bought and AMP. Is it possible to use a standalone receiver with the ecx10003? Or, is the combo esc/receiver that came with the kit the ONLY receiver that will work with it?

They have a receiver that binds with that transmitter. I think it’s ecx10009. But you might want to just get a new transmitter and receiver. That ecx Amp transmitter is kind of small and more for kids.
