Ok hopefully I’m not posting too much
I got through my little stutter issue and that was due to ABS setting in the TX settings.
Here’s my mod list
Hobbywing esc
Flysky TX and receiver
19mm axel extenders
Alum wheels and 1.9 tires
Alum axel lock out
Glitch buster
Savox Servo
Hot racing air spring shocks
Newbright Body from Walmart car
28 turn Traxxas motor but it’s not in as it is prob going to be too fast, I’m gonna try the Dromida 370 35 turn.
I would like to add some weight to the front and try to keep the tires down a little more.
Body needs a little more trim work for tires to not rub. But that’s how it got it’s name Rub-n-Tug
I took it out today and was very happy with the results. I still had some torque twist so I added 40wt oil in the left rear, ( prob wasn’t supposed to but I can see a difference and so far have no oil leaking) if someone has a better idea for this style shock please let me know. I may just try to find a stiffer spring that fits inside there.
I crawled over ancient Oak tree roots and it worked great.
The esc really helped with setting up the breaks so I’m not rolling down off rocks or roots and can stall real nicely until I position.
We have lots of beaches here in Florida lined with coral rock so that will prob be my next run in a few days!
I appreciate all the post here in this forum to make this inexpensive crawler something to enjoy! I may add the last few aluminum parts in the steering and front end.
I’m hesitant on the four wheel steering as I don’t want to break anything and try to not spend to much more money on it ( I know I know).
Once I get to the beach I’ll post some pics of it but here is what I got today.
