Ruckus motor blew up

Motor blew smoke like crazy suddenly, I am wondering what the warranty on these would be as my son has not had it for a month yet. Any one have experience with this or does everyone just replace and go about their business?

A brushed motor isn't all that expensive. But yea a lot do go to a brushless setup.
