so i just used some 16 jack chain to make some snow chains for my 2wd ruckus
(might get some skis too)
turned out pretty decent, but noticeably heavier

currently running stock brushless with 24t pinion

Do you thing dropping down to 22t would be enough?

thanks guys

I'll try to get pics up little later

Have you tried running it as you have it? If it's not getting too hot, you don't have to change pinions if you don't want to.

No i have not. Just finished the chains this afternoon. Been working on them while waiting for temp to go above 10.
Hoping tomorrow. Just figuring i'm gonna need to since i added weight, and tread (resistance). I've talked to a few who have had to gear down a couple teeth when all they did was switch to trenchers.
I guess i'll know after a few runs.

They look great! Run it and see what happens. If you order a new pinion, get a couple of different ones so you can play with the gearing and find what works best for you.
