Spur gear advice

Hi, I've managed to flat spot about 5or 6 teeth on my spur gear (not sure how exactly...although accidentally recreating James Bond's driving on two wheel antics having clipped a curb might have been part of it?)
My question is; is it possible to transfer the slipper plates etc over from one spur to another or are they stuck permanently once applied and will I need to buy new ones of these too?

Many thanks
Bob

The other parts of the slipper assembly can remain. I would however recommend looking at your slipper pad before you order your new spur. It may require replacement if it looks worn.

Thanks, if it looks ok presumably you can just peel it off the old gear?
Also does anyone know of a metal option part? (Its a 2wd Torment btw)

Tugger, hot racing makes a hard steel 48 pitch 87 tooth spur gear but you will also need to get a hard steel pinion also. You don't want to run a hard steel spur with a mild steel (soft) pinion gear as the spur will eat it up. You can get a good price on eBay for both. Amazon also has both.
