Switched servos and steering alignment is 90 degrees off

Hey guys, my stock steering servo started smoking and went out the other day so I picked up a Kyosho KS5031-09MW off ebay. First time I've messed with any of these parts, and I couldn't find a good walkthrough video, so I winged it.

It looked straight forward enough, but now the steering alignment is completely off by 90 degrees. At neutral position the tires are completely turned to the left, and when it's turned all the way to the right the tires are straight. I've taken it apart a few times trying to figure it out, and it sure seems like it should be something easy, but I can't find the issue.

Please help before I lose my mind! :)

Including some photos to help explain...
The first is the default position.
The second is turned all the way to the right.
The last two are close ups so maybe someone smarter than me can identify the issue.

Did you turn on the ESC before you put the servo horn on the new servo? If not, take the servo horn off the servo, turn on the ESC and then reinstall the servo horn. When you turn on the ESC the servo centers itself
