Temper Ecx 1/24 batttery upgrade question

couldn't find a definite answer, I'm sure it's on here somewhere , newbie to this , but what exact battery and model number can I upgrade to for my sons 1/24 scale Temper?
I've read I can go to a LiPo battery ? It came with a 4.8v 4 cell NiMH 150 mAh
It charges in 2 minutes and runs for about 5 minutes tops. Very slow speed too. Thanks in advance

Personally I'd recommend you stick with the NiMH batteries. They're inexpensive and their (somewhat) heavier weight compared to a LiPo is a benefit. I have two and this works great.

One thing I discovered is that the included USB charger does a TERRIBLE job charging the battery. It doesn't fully charge the NiMH pack and thus your car lacks "pep" and you only get a few minutes run-time. I bought a Losi micro/Walkera charge lead and connect the pack to my regular chargers. I get a proper full charge and the car runs stronger, faster, with a longer run time.
