Upgrade shocks for the 1/18 Temper?

Hey all,
Any of you Temper owners installed the ECX aluminum shocks or another brand of after market upgrade shocks on your Temper?

One of the stock plastic shocks leaks significantly and I'm not thrilled about keeping them around. It's a little annoying that the seals are not easily serviced or replaced.

I have no insight as to the shocks. However, if you can get to the o-rings I've found that Green Slime does wonders for sealing leaky shocks.

I've improved the performance of the ECX 1/10 plastic-bodied shocks and the Al-bodied upgrade shocks ENORMOUSLY by installing Yokomo X rings. (Double-ridged o-ring seals. Yokomo, AE, and Traxxas all produce similar x cross-section seals.) I also lay a bead of Green Slime in the voids between the ridges. Such a huge improvement. No leaks and a much smoother action.

The only "problem" with the stock plastic shocks on the Temper is that there is not an end cap that provides access to the seals. They must be installed down through the top of the shock body!
