Upgrade to brushless

Have a torment 4x4 and i just put in a castle brushless system in it im having issues with the pinion gear and spur. What pitch and size do I need for both of them to mesh together with no stripping or grinding?

Mine uses a mod 1 pitch. So far as I know, they only offer one size spur gear for the truck. Hot racing sells a steel replacement. Pinion size, the sky is the limit. Almost.
