I am having issues with the pinion gear coming off of the motor. Short of using loctite or a welder is there any way to help keep the pinion on?

OK cool. Do you have any pinion recommendations for the 81t spur gear?I use blue loctite and I've never had that problem. It's Team Associated brand.
Start with a 22. That gives almost the same the same gear ratio as a stock brushless at 87/23 gearing. Check motor temps after 5 mins of hard driving. If it's hot, drop to a 21t pinion.OK cool. Do you have any pinion recommendations for the 81t spur gear?
Will do. Currently I only am able to drive outside so after a long run my motor is still cold, but I will definitely try this.Start with a 22. I'll second the use of blue thread lock glue (Locktite). I use it on all pinion set screws. Never had another issue with pinions falling off!
I have had no issues using 18 thru 22 pinions. I like 21OK cool. Do you have any pinion recommendations for the 81t spur gear?
I was working on tuning up the suspension after a total rebuild omce, And was running it without the cover. And of course the ONE time I dont have loctite on the set screw or the cover on. Pinion comes loose and gone forevvvveeerr. Lol
