Glue in a piece of .078 wire into the male end, to keep it from twisting..FB_IMG_1565948675380.jpg

I've driven the heck out of this thing...I can't break the drive shafts, can't even get a twist out of em.....

I don't get it. So you drilled out for rod to be inserted?

I'm just curious how your twisting shafts?

How much power are you putting to the wheels?

I have done some serious climbs and still have not broke. I am even twice the weight from stock and more power to wheels.
I am just really curious. Maybe I am just lucky.

There is already a hole in the drive shaft....

I'm running a 390 motor and a 3s lipo battery. I twisted the front and the rear shattered. I found these from hot racing but it was kind of a pain to get then to work20190928_072240.jpg

I run a barrage transmission in my Gen 1 with the larger barrage drive shafts, they’re much stronger. My buddy that has the Gen 2 wishes he could run them but they won’t fit a temper transmission without grinding away some of the transmission case to clear the shaft.

I actually run the barrage driveshaft in the front and that hot racing in the rear on my gen220190928_205125.jpg

The driveshaft yoke clears the trans case on yours? It wouldn’t on my buddies, the shaft is like 1mm to big in diameter and would hit the trans case where the output shaft comes out. The gen 1 temper transmission is the same way so I just ground some of the case away (he didn’t like that option) so it would fit. I use gen 1 trans in my barrage on redcat portals. Gen 2 uses barrage trans so that's weird.

I run them front and rear. I just got out the grinder and filed down the driveshaft end till it fit past the transmission case. Works great.

I use the axial wraith shafts but i had to cut them down and take 1.5mm off the trans case to clear but have no isues and im about 9lbs with my tonka body onUSER_SCOPED_TEMP_DATA_MSGR_PHOTO_FOR_UPLOAD_1580238057890.jpeg
