I want to say it's the slipper as I know even all the way tight it still slips. I had nothing but trouble with the slipper in mine and I ended up modifying a Losi Mini 8 slipper to fit.

That was the problem, took a bit for me to get the parts, but I followed your lead with the Losi Mini 8 slipper and all is good now. I sure am glad I found your posts, ECX should have hired you for their 4wd department!!!!
