started with buggy kit, but wanted it wider and longer
basically a turbo scorpion with buggy body, including Turbo Scorpion shocks
still have all original parts/decals/manual that came with buggy kit
tamiya gunmetal metallic flake, and black, then used spray on outside to make hood/rear spoiler matte black
HW EZRun max10 combo (60A esc/4000kv 4pole)
Xpert 3431 brushless servo (Fast/metal gears)
2.2 wheels, AKA red closed cell inserts, Proline holeshots front/blockades rear, spare set black 2.2 rims
Kyosho universal shafts not installed (backup for when stock break), 12mm rear hex adapter
Kyosho lightweight steel 28t pinion (installed)
Lunsford Punisher and XRay spring steel adjustable turnbuckles
Kyosho CNC aluminum motor mount, CNC arm shaft block, CNC front caster lock

setup, never ran, battery i used won't fit in battery box, so all i did was make sure everything worked
esc not taped down yet, never even been outside the house
receiver/radio not included (do have Kyosho Syncro 3channel Rx/Tx $25.00 more)
$550?--make an offer

That’s a beautiful build, and if I didn’t just get a Barrage and a Gen 7 I’d be super interested. Impressive !

thanks Jason

was wondering if I did something wrong :)
doesn't seem like much interest
spread the word LOL

my first rc build from a kit

I don't think you're asking too much, but the average member here is probably shopping with a lower budget :)

My three RCs have an average purchasing cost (parts included) of around $220...

thanks for input xlDoom

I would be willing to trade as well

axial wraith spawn or scx10 II maybe?
been looking at kit versions of these

Save up $300, get the Deadbolt and keep that Beautiful Bad to the Bone Beetle. At least till I can afford it lol. Done

i literally laughed out loud after reading that post, @Jason

thanks man, always good to laugh when you first wake up
yeah, i like how she turned out too

I’m really impressed with this Redcat Gen 7 Sport. Got mine for $180 out the door. I know Axial is the way to go, but for the price I have nothing to complain about. After messing with this truck, and seeing what it can do I have no regrets. Just saying that you might give it a second look. Also, mine came with the new high steer knuckles so that just eliminated this trucks biggest issue. Was stoked after opening the box and seeing I got a fresh update version. Front axles, and a couple aluminum diffs and the sport is better than the Pro anyway imo. I thought your choice to build the Beetle was awesome. I was totally Day dreaming about either the Tomahawk or the Beetle, and was amazed to find someone as cool as me lol ! Anyways, my next build is probably going to be the Tamiya 67 rally Beetle, or maybe that newer looking VW 4 door truck on the CC01 chassis. Both are pretty inexpensive, and are available on Amazon. Probably go to my Local shop and have them order one though. Was also thinking about the Tamiya Brat, or the Super Beetle. My first RC was a Tamiya Blackfoot back in 80 something. I’d appreciate your thoughts and opinions. I think I might sell my Barrage now. $200 - RC4WD wheels n tires, and I got an unopened set of axles that I haven’t installed. You think it’s too much/not enough, or just about right ? Haha, thanks man

great minds think alike...
Gen7 does look pretty good, seems like redcat has been improving quite a bit lately

was also looking at trx4 sport
but for some reason i can't explain-i'm somewhat anti traxxas
maybe cause they're the most "mainstream"? not really sure
but yeah, i really like the axial models

trx4 sport would need a new body immediately LOL

and i am Just getting into crawlers
still wanna buy my first crawler, but i would really like to get buggy gone first

used servo/esc tape and got receiver and ESC taped down

turned punch down to 2, lot of motor for little buggy
Kyosho Syncro radio/receiver (KT-331T/Kyosho KT-331P)

so now $575
gets you a ARTR turbo scorpion
all you need is a battery (2s lipo or 6cell nimh)
