Motor runs when I connect battery? help

Hi, have a 4wd Torment, and recently changed the motor (the old one had a loose connector inside). Got the new motor (exact same one), and when I plug in the battery, it just runs full throttle. I have the transmitter on, and it steers, but can't get the throttle change at all. any help?

Hi, yes I have. I have moved the trim from one end to the other, and nothing changed.

sounds like the ESC has an internal short. Call HH, if it is still under warrantee.

Or use this as an excuse to buy a new Brushless ESC and motor... hehehe....

Do you think the controller needs to be reprogrammed? It's just an idea and only takes a couple seconds. Refer to "Problems of direction" in the Torment discussions. There is a nice video on reprogramming the remote. It is worth a shot, otherwise you might have a short in the ESC.

When you plug the battery in have the transmitter on holding it full throttle. If it doesn't take off running it needs to be programmed to the motor. Just go through that.
