Buddy of mine just gave me a MONSTER OF TOURING 19 Turn Double. My qeustion is: can I put this in my ECX AMP MT 1/10. I have a stock 20 turn on it now. Oh yeah & im putting a 23 tooth pinion on as well, no upgrade on battery yet. This is my first upgrade, if you even call it an upgrade. Haha. I no nothing about brushed motor. I'm just trying to get nore speed for cheap. didn't kbow if this would help.

You already have the motor use it see how it performs. You can go up on the pinion to increase top speed but will need to watch temps. If you want to try a different motor try a 15t motor as long as your still running nimh should be fine since the esc has no lipo cutoff (yes can put a lipo alarm on but I would rather have a esc that has a lvc in it).

I am not fond of 2 in 1 esc/rx like the AMP has but it works to keep things cheaper. I understand not going down a rabbit hole of going brushless as it usually leads to more upgrades and greater cost. In the end if you want to get the fullest out of it IMHO lose the stock 2 in 1 esc.

Awesome. Thank you for the advice. I like the 15 turn option.

Also you can increase your speed with bigger rear tires. As stated above, be careful of over heating the motor. Here is my AMP fully upgraded and designing changes. Looking at your AMP, I would recommend that you clean it after after use to keep it in good shape, especially if running in the dirt. Just a suggestion.
