No Acceleration in Ruckus 1/18 truck

Hello enthusiasts. First time post. I have a prob where one of two trucks have little acceleration. I was hoping someone can give tips. I put the same battery in a second one and it zips along, the slower speeds up eventually, but not like I remember it. I can share video later if that helps.

I took apart the drive chain yesterday and changed the spur gear (which was a little notched). I couldn't get the pinion off because I didn't have a small enough wrench I could find, but it looked ok.. I then opened the differentials. They both looked clean, undamaged and greased.

Any idea what t change out? New motor? Maybe better adjustment on the slip discs? Thanks >n advance.

If the drivetrain looks good then I would start looking at the esc and motor. I remember going through a lot of the escs in mine.

If it’s too much slip in the clutch, there will be heat marks and smell from the clutch and shortly you will have no movement as it builds too much heat.

Swap motors between the two. It’ll help isolate motor/ESC. Use the same radio and battery for the test so you’re not chasing your tail with multiple variables

If you ESC has capability to be switched from lipo to nicd. I had one that did the same thing come to find out the ESC was setup for lipo and I was running nicds with brushed motor hit the gas move very slow. Just something to check. Never know.

ESC doesn't have a lvc option.
