Been lurking here long enough and figured it’s a good time to introduce myself and my Ruckus. Been a nitro guys for years but took a few years off until my 11 year old daughter recently took an interest to an old Mini-T I had laying around and the rest was like history all over again. Keeping one nitro truck maintained is enough work all by itself so rather than getting 2 nitro trucks we picked up a couple of electrics - my Ruckus and her Arrma Granite, both used Craigslist trucks. I’ve since upgraded or modified just about everything on the Ruckus and we just started tearing into the Granite the other day.
Here’s my Ruckus build:
Donor vehicle:
1/10 Ruckus MT (brushed, NiMH 4x2)
Upgraded:
RPM F&R A arms
RPM Castor blocks
RPM Steering spindles
RPM Axle carriers
Tekno oversized wheel bearings (F&R)
RPM SSE bell crank
Traxxas F&R turnbuckles
ECX Torment front bumper and skid
ECX Torment nerf bar set
Traxxas wheelie bar
Spectrum MG digital servo - 155 oz
ECX all steel trans/diff gear upgrade
Hot Racing steel spur gear (85t)
Traxxas pinion Gear (19t)
Hot Racing HD splined steel axles
Hot Racing HD big bore shocks
Castle SCT / 3800kv brushless combo
Lectron Pro 5200/35c LiPo
Traxxas Slash/Team Fox body
Arrma Granite tires & wheels
It still handles like a top heavy MT but it’s pretty unique around my way. Hope you guys like it, tell me what you think.
