Servo Problems

Hi All,

I am new to RC cars. I bought a 1:10 AMP 2WD monster truck for my son. At first it worked fine, then the steering went out. I found that the servo case was partially melted. Clearly some type of over heating/short in the servo case. I ordered a replacement servo (S6170 Standard Digital Surface Servo) from the Hobby Shop. I replaced the servo today. Now when I turn on the car, the servo immediately starts twitching back and forth. The twitching continues indefinitely... When I try to steer fully one direction, the twitching stops, in the other direction there seems to be no influence on the twitching.

I have tried calibrating the ESC and have adjusted the trim and dual rate with no success. Maybe the problem is not the servo? How can I tell if it is a problem with the ESC or the transmitter? How can I troubleshoot these parts?

This is my first post and I am new to RC cars, so thanks for your patience.

try useing a none digital servo, sometimes when you use a digital servo with a none digital radio you will get that type of twitching
