Hello,

is anyone running a F540 4370kv brushless motor in their 2wd Torment or Ruckus? I just picked one up during Amazon Prime Day and curious how it performs. I have a 2wd Torment that I also have a Ruckus body and monster truck wheels for. Currently I have stock gearing of 87t spur and 19t pinion.

I have the 3300kv version. I stayed with stock gearing and liked it...slight power on wheelies from lower speeds, reasonable motor heat if i am reasonable with the terrain. I have used it quite a bit and not killed my plastic gears or driveshafts. I imagine at your high kv rating you will have to gear it lower to not overheat. The only thing i was a little disappointed with was that the top speed only went from 17 stock to 23. I would probably do the 3950 kv version and a 18t pinion If i were doing it again

I bought a 4300kv 3650 motor ESC combo with programming card for $32 on EBay. I returned the other motor to Amazon. The thing rips. I need a wheelie bar. I had it in 3s and was trying to do a speed run and it wheelied so hard it flipped over in the roof and slid for about 20 feet. I think I can get 40 or 50 mph once figure out the settings and gearing. It’s awesome
