Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to fix a slipping driveshaft spindle?

At the hub of my 1/18 Roost where the metal driveshaft molds into the plastic, the metal is just slipping around allowing the plastic part of the driveshaft to spin but not the metal part with the wheels on.

2 have gone this way.
It seems a poor manufacturing error.
What could I replace them with that might stand the test of time?
Thanks

Can you remove the plastic piece from the metal shaft ? Or is it capped on.

My first attempt would be to try to slide the plastic yoke down the shaft a bit, and try some super glue or jb weld or something on it, and slide it back. See if it holds the yoke in place.

The plastic is moulded on.
I tried glueing it but the seal breaks as soon as you get on the power.

It's a shame they don't make the Hot Racing ones anymore.
I don't know if there's any alternative axles which would fit?
